Westlake swim team prepares for their District and Regional meets
The Westlake swim team has been training extremely hard for their final meets. The team had there District meet on Jan. 29-30 and both the boy’s and girl’s teams won first place.
“I think that the team will do very well overall in both Regional’s and State,” sophomore Robert Hunt said. “We have all been working very hard.”
The team’s next meets are Regional and State. Regional is on Feb. 12-13 in San Antonio and State is on Feb. 26-27 at the UT Swim Center.
“Overall the team has very done well this year,” coach Isaac Grombacher said. “I don’t know how the team will do in State yet. It’s tough to tell until after Regional’s.”
